About the Certificate:
This certificate program focuses upon the integration of dance/movement arts studies with the theories and approaches found in transformative learning, consciousness studies, organizational systems and psychology. The purpose of the certificate program is to expose learners to these areas in order to support the embodiment of effective leadership and communication skills.
Who Should Apply?
The certificate program is designed for anyone interested in using movement-based approaches to facilitate desired change and growth within education, private and non-profit corporations, community projects and specialized groups. Individuals who would benefit from the program include educators, group facilitators, executive and life coaches, social activists, business leaders, entrepreneurs, human resource managers, counselors, and anyone working within groups who use communication and leadership skills.
No previous experience in Dance/Movement Arts or Dance/ Movement Therapy is necessary to participate in the program. However, learners are expected to pursue on-going dance or movement training while in the program.
